FYI Verizon is in our neighborhood. The fiberoptics have been installed. They carry identification, however their vehicle is not marked. Some wear a red shirt with the verizon logo. They have been going door to door.

Looking for volunteers. Night out at Ewing Twp. Police station 1st Tuesday in August 8/7/07. I’m looking for volunteers to work the Hillwood Manor Community Watch table. Any one willing to help that night or in advance. I’m looking for brochures to hand out, stickers people can put on their homes advising of the Neighborhood watch, and game ideas for children or prizes. The night out begins at 5:30 and ends at 8:30.
The police dept is looking for help with directing traffic, not in the street, but in the police parking lot. Anyone interested in helping please respond.
Hope to receive responses with ideas for our table and any help. Thank you.

Sorry John, we switched from Comcast to Verizon in June. I’ll give you a call. For 8/7 Comm. night out at the municipal building, I have pencils with Hillwood Manor Community Watch printed on them, I purchased a gross of lollipops and whistles with string for prizes and handouts to the children. For the adults I have small sewing kits. Have a price for purchasing decals for home windows. Again I’ll call you, thanks for all of your hard work on the brochures.
An update on the Watch signs they are ready for pick up. Rich was in charge and his father is terminally ill, which has taken alot of his time. But he hasn’t forgotten.

Thanks for the handouts. Prospect Heights Vol. Fire Co. made the copies for me at no charge. So I am set for tonight. Thank you for the hard work.

In 2007 our meetings were the 1st Monday of every month. We didn’t meet November, December or January because of everyone’s holiday schedule. Next Meeting Scheduled for the 1st Monday in February 2008. I have stepped down as captain we have a new captain as of Febuary 2008. His name is John and you can chat with him live on line. Also meeting dates are posted in the Ewing Observer and in the past a sign has been put on Al & Evelyn Peluso’s lawn located at the corner of Ewingville Rd & Bakun Way. Look forward to seeing you at the meetings. Welcome.

I was wondering if anyone knew what the activity was on Ewingville Road on Wednesday night (7/16)? It was closed from Federal City Road to Alexander from at least 8-9pm. I couldn’t see any activity in the road.
Thanks!

Hi, Nancy – I never saw the closure, but I heard that the Mayor had a visit from the fire department a few days ago – I heard everything turned out okay.
